Your Skin Journey Doesn’t End in the Treatment Room

Beautiful Skin Deserves Beautiful Aftercare

Your treatment is only one part of your skin journey. The care you give your skin afterward helps protect your results, support recovery, and maintain that healthy, radiant look. Your provider will give you personalized instructions based on your treatment, your skin, and the products used during your appointment.

Your First 24–48 Hours

Immediately following a treatment, your skin may feel warmer, tighter, more sensitive, or appear slightly pink. These responses can be a normal part of the skin’s rejuvenation process.

For the first day or two:
Keep your skincare routine gentle and simple.
Use only products recommended by your Simply Aesthetics provider.
Keep skin comfortably hydrated.
Protect your skin from direct sun exposure.
Apply broad-spectrum SPF as directed.
Avoid rubbing, picking, scrubbing, or exfoliating the skin.
Temporarily pause active skincare products when instructed.

The goal is simple: give your skin time to reset.

Sun Protection

Sun protection is one of the most important ways to care for your skin after any professional treatment.
Use a broad-spectrum SPF as recommended by your provider and minimize prolonged direct sun exposure while your skin is recovering.

Consistent sun protection also helps support the long-term appearance of your skin and protect the results of your treatments.

What to Avoid

Depending on your treatment, your provider may recommend temporarily avoiding:
Retinoids and retinol
AHAs, BHAs, and other exfoliating acids
Physical scrubs or exfoliating tools
Strong or highly active skincare products
At-home resurfacing devices
Waxing or other aggressive hair-removal treatments
Excessive heat, steam, or sauna
Swimming or activities that may irritate recently treated skin
Prolonged sun exposure

Your personalized aftercare instructions always take priority. The timing for returning to your normal routine can vary based on your treatment, treatment intensity, products used, and how your skin responds.

HydraFacial® Aftercare

Keep the glow going. HydraFacial is designed to cleanse, exfoliate, extract, and hydrate the skin while allowing treatment to be customized to your individual concerns and goals.

After your treatment:
Protect: Use SPF and limit prolonged sun exposure.
Hydrate: Keep your skin moisturized and support your skin’s hydration.
Simplify: Avoid aggressive exfoliation and strong active ingredients until your provider recommends returning to them.

If a booster or enhancement was included in your treatment, your aftercare may be customized accordingly.

Customized Facial Aftercare

Following a customized facial, your skin may look refreshed and radiant immediately—or may experience temporary sensitivity depending on the treatments performed.

For best results:
Keep your routine gentle.
Hydrate consistently.
Protect your skin with SPF.
Avoid picking or excessive touching.
Follow any product-specific instructions provided by your esthetician.

Allow your skin to gradually return to your normal active routine.

Dermaplaning Aftercare

Smooth skin needs gentle care. Dermaplaning removes surface buildup and fine vellus hair, leaving skin exceptionally smooth and receptive to skincare.

After treatment:
Keep your routine gentle and hydrating.
Use SPF and protect your skin from direct sun.
Avoid scrubs and aggressive exfoliation.
Pause retinoids, exfoliating acids, and other active products as directed.
Avoid waxing or other potentially irritating treatments until your provider recommends resuming them.

Your skin should be treated gently while it adjusts to its newly refreshed surface.

ProCell Microchanneling Aftercare

Support your skin’s natural rejuvenation. ProCell Microchanneling creates controlled microchannels in the skin to support a rejuvenative response. Temporary redness, warmth, tightness, sensitivity, or changes in skin texture may occur following treatment.

Immediately after treatment:
Keep your skincare routine exceptionally simple.
Use only the products recommended by your Simply Aesthetics provider and avoid introducing additional active ingredients unless specifically instructed.

Depending on your treatment protocol, you may be asked to temporarily avoid: Makeup, Retinoids, Exfoliating acids, Scrubs, At-home devices, Waxing,, Excessive heat, Swimming, Intense exercise, Direct sun exposure

As your skin recovers:
Do not pick, peel, or manually exfoliate areas that may feel dry or textured.

Your provider will guide you on when to gradually reintroduce your normal skincare routine. Every ProCell treatment is personalized. Your provider’s specific instructions take priority over general aftercare guidance.

FactorFive® Professional Treatments

Support. Protect. Restore.

Professional FACTORFIVE treatments are designed to complement a rejuvenative skincare approach. Following treatment, your skin may experience temporary redness, sensitivity, tightness, or changes in texture as it settles. Your provider may recommend a simplified routine featuring professional post-treatment products, hydration, and SPF.

Until your skin has recovered, avoid adding:
Retinoids or retinol
Exfoliating acids
Physical exfoliants
Strong vitamin C products
Additional peels or resurfacing treatments

Do not add new active products without checking with your provider first. Your Simply Aesthetics provider may recommend a professional post-treatment regimen based on the specific treatment performed.

CO2Lift® Aftercare

CO2Lift treatments are generally designed to be comfortable with minimal disruption to your routine.
Your provider will let you know when to resume your usual skincare and whether your routine should be temporarily simplified based on your skin’s condition and any additional treatments performed during your appointment. If CO2Lift is combined with another treatment, the more conservative aftercare protocol may apply.

Professional Skincare Aftercare

Your treatment continues at home. Professional skincare is an important part of maintaining your results between treatments.

We recommend keeping your home-care routine focused on three essentials:
Cleanse: Keep skin clean without stripping or over-cleansing.
Hydrate: Support your skin’s moisture barrier with appropriate hydration.
Protect: Use daily SPF and protect your skin from unnecessary environmental stress.

Your Simply Aesthetics provider can help determine when and how to reintroduce active ingredients such as retinoids, exfoliating acids, or other targeted products.

When Can I Wear Makeup?

This depends on your treatment. For gentler treatments, makeup may be appropriate shortly afterward. More intensive rejuvenative treatments may require a period without makeup to allow the skin to recover. Your provider will tell you exactly when makeup is appropriate for your treatment. When in doubt, give your skin more time rather than less.

What About Exercise, Heat & Sweating?

Some treatments may require temporarily limiting activities that increase heat, sweating, friction, or irritation.

This can include:
Intense exercise
Hot yoga
Saunas and steam rooms
Hot tubs
Prolonged heat exposure

Because treatment intensity and individual response vary, your provider will give you a personalized timeline.

When Should I Contact Simply Aesthetics?

Some temporary redness, sensitivity, tightness, dryness, or mild discomfort can be expected after certain treatments.

Contact Simply Aesthetics if you experience a reaction that concerns you, appears unusual, or is worsening rather than improving.

If you experience a severe or potentially emergency medical reaction, seek appropriate emergency medical care.
